Loneliness and Social Dissatisfaction among Preschool Children

Abstract


This study aimed to identify the feeling of loneliness and social dissatisfaction among the children in preschool. About 36 children of a private kindergarten have been chosen as respondents for this study. The study uses structured interview to gather data from the respondents regarding their self reported feelings on loneliness and social dissatisfaction at their school. The result shows that a considerable number of children expressed their feeling of loneliness and social dissatisfaction at school. The present study also found moderate but negative relationship between children’s level of education and the self reported feelings of loneliness and social dissatisfaction.
